PREFACE
To you, new as well as life-time learners of English.
We all, like you, found the spelling of English not to be the simplest task in the world.
There are however quite a number of operating rules and patterns in the spelling of English. If you take the time and trouble to learn them as we have set them out for you, you can become a good speller in a short time. It is expected of you that you should adopt and maintain a sense of responsibility with regard to correct spelling. But you must set to the task with a will. Some words are certainly tricky and they have to be learnt.
The point is that the rules set out herein cover the main aspects of the game.
Upon the completion of your secondary studies as throughout your journey learning the English language, we hope you blossom as a good speller.
